Rocky Horror Picture Show

The “Rocky Horror Picture Show” makes its annual appearance on the Carroll Arts Center’s screen on Saturday, October 16 at 9 p.m. and midnight.

The campy horror film flopped when it was released in 1975, but now claims to be the largest grossing movie that never received a wide release. It has since grossed more than $140 million, has legions of followers and even an official fan club.

The film features a young Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Tim Curry. The evening will start with a Time Warp Refresher Course so that everyone is ready to dance when the appropriate time comes in the film. There will be wickedly decadent prizes for the best costumes and a few special surprises thanks to business sponsor Double Diamond Construction.

Tickets are $15 or $20. The prices include a goody bag full of props needed to experience the cinematic phenomenon. Outside props will not be permitted. The film is rated R and runs 100 minutes. FLICC passes and other ticket discounts will not be accepted. Tickets can be purchased in advance with a major credit card by calling 410-848-7272 or on-line at www.CarrollCountyArtsCouncil.org.
