The Westminster Woman’s Club will celebrate its 100th anniversary on May 10 with a luncheon for its members and their guests at Antrim 1844 in Taneytown.The organization was founded in 1911 as the Woman’s Literary Club. When the group adopted a constitution and bylaws in 1912, members voted to change its name to The Woman’s Club of Westminster.
Dedicated to community service, the club promotes education, the preservation of natural resources and healthy lifestyles. It also works on behalf of the disabled and elderly, advocates for women’s issues and supports participation in the arts.
