In a traditionally male-dominated world, how are female clients changing the future of finance?
We’ve seen an extraordinary shift in women’s roles in both the family unit and the workplace. Women now control 52% of America’s wealth, which is expected to grow to two-thirds over the next decade. They have high expectations for their careers and financial lives, yet lack a financial confidence. It’s important as a Financial Planner to provide the tools and education so that these amazing women feel financially in control at every stage of their lives.
When I meet with a client, we start with their goals first and work backwards. Women want to know their family will be taken care of even in the most challenging circumstances so it’s important we plan for the unknowns. I believe women have been the main catalyst for a more comprehensive approach to financial planning.
