Two of Alfred Hitchcock’s scariest films, “Rear Window” and “The Birds,” will be offered as a pre-Halloween double feature at the Carroll Arts Center on October 29, starting at 7 p.m.
Film Lovers in Carroll County (FLICC) have chosen the Greek/Turkish film, “A Touch of Spice,” to be screened on Friday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Carroll Arts Center. Filmgoers are encouraged to bring canned food to donate to Carroll Food Sunday. Those who donate will receive free popcorn. The 2003 film is rated R and runs 108 minutes. It will be shown with English subtitles. It is sponsored by PFG Foods.
Arts Power, a New Jersey-based touring theater company, will perform a musical version of “Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates” on November 26 at 3 p.m. at the Carroll Arts Center. After the show, theatergoers can stay downtown to get front row seats for Westminster’s Annual Electric Light Holiday Parade, starting at 5 p.m. that evening. The performance is sponsored by David Library, Inc.
A theatrical version of Disney’s “Mulan Jr.,” cast with local teenagers and directed by Julie Herber of the Maryland Ensemble Theatre, takes the stage at the Carroll Arts Center on November 11 at 7 p.m., November 12 at 3 and 7 p.m., and November 13 at 3 p.m. Tabetha White is the assistant director and stage manager.
