Catknits at the Humane Society
Join us for a very fun afternoon making mats/toys for our cats in the Community Cat Room every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. All skill levels accepted. Can just come and join the conversation. Bring knitting needles or crochet hooks for intro to knitting or crocheting. Goal is to provide socialization to our cats so they are more adoptable. Items made go with the cat through adoption.

2023 Panfish Tournament
Pre-registration is $10 per angler until Friday, April 7 at 4 p.m.; $15 per angler on day of tournament. Vehicle entrance fees waived; $10 boat launch fee applies. Rev TMac (BrewHaHa Comedy)
Rev TMac has been entertaining folks with his energetic and crowd engaging styles for years. His stories of being a daycare teacher and family man, comments on societal issues, and fun takes at whatever pops in his head will have you laughing and enjoying the journey. Rev TMac adds a comedic message to every performance. He was a 2004 finalist in the Sunfest Fashion Rock Competition, where he won a Harley-Davidson motorcycle that he never rode. He’s performed in front of adults, families, and church audiences, all left wanting more. BrewHaHa Comedy is for ages 21 and over only. Enjoy a pre-show happy hour from Pipe the Side Brewing Company starting at 6:45 p.m. Tickets $10-$15.

Mid Atlantic Alpaca Association – Alpaca Jubilee Show
Check out one of the largest alpaca shows in the country. The weekend hosts 2 Halter Shows, a Fleece Show and a Walking Fleece Show. Come to see these animals at their best and shop for alpaca products. There are also youth performance classes in showmanship, obstacles, and costume. Hundreds of alpacas will delight all ages. Food will be available.

Beauty and the Beast Jr.
We will tell the story of Belle, an adventurous young girl, and the Beast, her hideous captor who is actually a young prince trapped under a spell. In order to break the spell, the Beast must learn to love another and earn her love in return — before time runs out. Tickets $15.

Box Lunch Talk – Sykesville Stories
Jack McBride White shares the dramatic story of two German Jews who escaped Nazi Germany, came to the U.S., and joined the staff of Springfield Hospital in Sykesville. Dr. Leo Kanner, a pioneer in the study of autism, and Dr. Kurt Glazer were among many refugees from war-torn Germany who ended up on the staff of Springfield. $3 for HSCC members; $7 for non-members.

Annual Fishing Derby
