This downtown Mount Airy event features the best of local wines, cheeses and farm-fresh produce. An afternoon grilled-cheese cookoff will be held among the downtown restaurants, with the best sandwich being named at the evening event. 16th Annual Maryland Microbrewery Festival
The Maryland Microbrewery Festival is a fun-packed celebration that promotes the best of Maryland’s handcrafted and distinctive microbrews. Numerous Maryland brewers will be attending, all true microbreweries or regional craft breweries, and each will have a number of brews to sample. The event includes live music, crafts, and there will be a wide variety of food vendors. Also, a homebrew competition is conducted each year by the Midnight Homebrewers’ League. Tickets are $25.

Miss Carroll County Competition
Don’t miss the 2023 Miss Carroll County and Miss Carroll County’s Outstanding Teen Competition. The Miss Carroll County Organization is a nonprofit that proudly offers academic and community-based scholarships for young women attending medical school, working in special areas for military service awareness and in the performing arts. Throughout the competition and in interviews, candidates have opportunities to advocate for their social impact initiatives and to demonstrate how they are uniquely qualified for the exciting and challenging 365-day job of being Miss Carroll County. The fourth annual Mount Airy Oktoberfest offers a traditional Oktoberfest experience. Westminster Oyster Stroll
The Westminster Oyster Stroll Festival is far more than oysters, music, food, and fun for the community. It is an event designed to raise awareness about the importance of oyster aquaculture in the Chesapeake Bay. Attendees will have a chance to meet oyster farmers, and taste the varying flavors of oysters from throughout the region. This event directly supports CCA Maryland’s Living Reef Action Campaign.
