Join the Carroll County Master Gardeners at their annual Heirloom Tomato Festival on Saturday, August 17 from 8 AM to 1 PM at the Carroll County Ag Center, 706 Agricultural Center Drive, Westminster, MD 21157. The event is Free to all. Highlights of the festival include heirloom tomato growing tips, tasting dozens of heirloom varieties, examples of great tomato dishes and information about tomato and veggie pests. Meet Miss Tomato! Learn how to collect & save seeds! Purchase tomato recipe cards. Guess how many tomatoes are in the jar and win a prize! There will be tomato-themed items and gifts for purchase. Best of all, bring your own tomato success stories to share with other gardeners!
