David Kreider (Sunday Classics Series)

Pianist David Kreider and special guest musicians present a selection of works by Brahms and Rachmaninoff for piano, horn, and cello. Dr. Kreider is accompanied by Maxim Kozlov (cello), Bagus Wiswakarma (violin), and CCAC Executive Director Lynne Griffith (French horn)!
Born in Lebanon, PA, David Kreider received his Bachelors and Masters of Music degrees in piano from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. He was awarded a Fulbright Grant to study in Vienna, Austria where he was a finalist in the Schubert and the 20th Century competition. He later also received a DMA degree in piano performance from the Catholic University of America. David’s concert appearances include debut performances in London, Vienna, and New York City at the Carnegie Recital Hall.
Dr. Kreider served as Senior Lecturer in Music at McDaniel College for more than 28 years. While there, he also taught piano and courses on Music Literature and Piano Pedagogy. During his time at McDaniel, he also founded a resident concert series, Chamber Music on the Hill. Now retired, he continues to serve as the series’ Artistic Director.
