The Painted Screen Society of Baltimore presents a show that highlights the unique art form of screen painting. The technique was first introduced to Baltimore by William Oktavec, a Czech grocer, in 1913. Today, screen painting is an urban folk art style still seen on the doors and windows of the city’s rowhomes.
Reception: Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 5pm – 7pm
