In the first three years of life, a child will develop more rapidly than at any other time. Learning is enhanced if there are plentiful opportunities to move and investigate. Maria Montessori believed (and modern science affirms) that moving and learning are inseparable. Students as young as two have freedom to explore in safe and interesting environments both indoors and out on MSW’s 27-acre campus, fostering the development of all the senses.
In the classrooms, beautiful hands-on materials help children develop concentration. It is during these early years that the foundation for who
each child will become is created along with a love of learning to last a lifetime. At MSW, we invite children to discover the world around them with activities that promote independence, order, coordination, and concentration as well as support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. MSW has been a part of Carroll County since 1974.
