Mt. Airy Children’s Dental Associates is a unique pediatric and orthodontic specialty practice. Pediatric dental specialists, Dr. David Hasson, Dr. Allison Green and Dr. Michael Virts welcome patients from infancy through college, including those with special needs. The office provides infant oral care, laser lip and tongue tie release, preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, sedation, sealants and emergency care. Orthodontist, Dr. Stuart Sheer treats both children and adults and is a preferred Invisalign® provider.
How did the pandemic make you pivot your business?
Due to the pandemic our office was required to shut down all non-emergency care in March 2020.
When elective and preventive care was allowed to resume, we took every precaution to keep our patients and employees safe. It took time to obtain the needed safety materials and personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary to safely return to work.
We look a little different now as PPE has increased. All providers now wear N-95 masks, surgical masks, eye protection, face shields and lab coats.
Our office looks different as well with Surgical Clean Air Purifiers in each room to circulate and clean the air. Plexiglas barriers were added at the front desk along with a text message system for arriving patients in order to limit congregation in the reception area.
Although we were sad to remove our self-serve toy tower, we still hand a prize to each patient!
We continue to stay updated on every precaution and CDC guideline to main a safe and healthy office for all.
We have always strived to deliver the best possible dental care here in a safe and friendly manner and treat all patients as we would treat our own family, and that has NOT changed!
We are still very happy to see our patients, and we really are smiling underneath all our masks!
