The Carroll Community Foundation hosted the 12th annual Philanthropist of the Year event in mid-October recognizing six prominent people, businesses and organizations. The event was established to recognize the giving spirit in Carroll County, past, present and future. Those honored as leading philanthropists this year include:
Kevin Brown, Johanna Brown and Bill Brown of Quantum Internet, Business of the Year
Individual of the Year:
Sgt. Maj. Thomas B. Beyard of Westminster, the highest-ranking noncommissioned officer in the Maryland National Guard.
Business of the Year:
Quantum Internet, Johanna & William Brown of Hampstead
Non-Profit Organization of the Year:
The Boys & Girls Club of Westminster
Youth of the Year:
Lauren Jenne of Westminster High School
Family Philanthropist of the Year:
Josh and Matt Kohn, Kohn Creative
Individual of the Year winner: Sgt. Maj. Thomas B. Beyard
