What woman inspired you?
My mother was so inspirational in motivating me to pursue the education to become the professional I am today. My mother was one of the first women to enlist in the Woman’s Army Corps during World War II. She rose to the rank of master sergeant serving in the European front as a translator and interpreter. After D-Day she was assigned to the Missing Persons Division working in the concentration camps in Germany to help reunite families. Returning to the United States she used her GI bill to attend New York University receiving a B.A. in accounting – summa cum laude. Her philosophy was work hard, honestly and diligently. She firmly believed that every woman was entitled to an education, a vote, and a voice. She raised her children to believe the same.
