A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Downtown Westminster Halloween Parade

Saturday, October 24  Activities will include a decorated scarecrow contest, downtown trick-or-treat, the Spooky Sprint and a Halloween parade. Trick-or-treat from 5 to 7 p.m., run/walk the Spooky Sprint at 6:55 p.m. (registration required) and watch the Halloween parade at 7 p.m. Other related activities will be taking place in downtown Westminster all day.  Downtown Westminster. A Culinary Experience

October 12 • 6 – 9 p.m. The 16th Annual “A Culinary Experience” to benefit Rape Crisis Intervention Services of Carroll County (RCIS) is an entertainment-filled evening, complete with delicious offerings from hand-selected local restaurants, live and silent auctions, live music and raffles.  Tickets: $65 each, or $600 for a table of 10. Martin’s Westminster, 505 Jermor Lane, Westminster. For more information: www.rapecrisiscc.org

The Shepherd’s Staff Call For Coats Program

Through November 13 The Shepherd’s Staff is sponsoring its annual Call for Coats Program. The organization expects to receive and distribute more than 4,000 coats which will help to keep families and individuals warm during the coming cold months.
