The Illustrated Human

The Illustrated Human* showcases the creative talent of tattoo artists beyond the canvas of skin and the diverse dialogues therein. Tattoo artists working in distinctive styles from across the U.S. are featured, with a specific focus on regional artists.
*The exhibition title references Ray Bradbury’s famous short story
collection, The Illustrated Man, wherein the narrator encounters
a man with moving, magical tattoos that tell various fantastic tales.
