Here is a list of summer camps available in Carroll County. It is not too soon to sign up.

ABC CARE INC.
June 18-Aug. 23. Ages 4-14. Offering full day and extended day. Camps are located in Hampstead, Mt. Airy, Sykesville, and Westminster. Information: Kristine Gesuele or Sylvia Nunnelee, 410-751-3700 or abccare@abccareinc.com.
Cascade Lake Water Camp Ages 5-13 (K-8). Optional swimming lessons one, two or three times a week. Mondays will be a field trip and sports day. Lake swimming daily, pool swimming, Splash Zone daily, nature activities, sports activities, and arts and crafts. Cascade Lake, 3000 Snydersburg Road, Hampstead.
North Westminster Location
ABC Care Explorer Camp Ages 5-8 (K-2). This camp will take two field trips per week as well as enrichment activities, arts and crafts and sign language, include Wacky Wednesday special events for both camps. Optional third field trip will be available on various weeks.
ABC Care Adventure Camp Ages 8-11 (grades 3-5). This camp will take three field trips per week as well as enrichment activities, arts and crafts and sign language.
South Westminster Location
ABC Care Deer Park Swim Camp Ages 5-11 (grades K-5). This is a swim camp with swim lessons two times per week, lake swimming three times a week, pool swimming one time per week, Splash Zone daily, nature activities, sports activities and arts and crafts. Mondays will be Sports Activity Day. Deer Park United Methodist Church.
ABC Care Amazing Race Camp Selected weeks only during the summer. Ages 11-13 (grades 6-8). Daily field trips to locations centered around a theme with activities geared towards older children.
ABC Care Amazing Mini Camp Grades 4-8. Selected sites on specific days, to be announced. Fun day of field trips, team building activities and adventure.

CARROLL COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL SUMMER ARTS CAMP
All camps are held at the Carroll Arts Center in downtown Westminster. Explore all aspects of the arts, from theater to arts and crafts projects. Registration forms available at the Arts Council or on the website after March 1 or by phone, with credit card. Tuition assistance available through the Tom Holder Memorial Arts Scholarship Fund. Arts Adventures Ages 8-12, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. Camp Director is Susan Williamson. Full day of arts and crafts and cultural activities. Campers will spend the week drawing, painting and crafting; visit local art galleries and try out some handmade game crafts in local parks.
Fun Company Theatre Camp Ages 8-12. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. Camp Director: Julie Herber, Maryland Ensemble Theatre. Activities pertain to all aspects of the theatre, from making props and designing costumes to learning to use technical equipment with lights and microphones. Improv games and drama exercises will help prepare actors for the “big show” that will take place Friday night on the Art Center’s stage.
Creative Kids Camp Ages 5-8, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Camp Director: Sandy Oxx. Campers enjoy sing-alongs, arts and crafts, drama games, special guests, movies and gallery activities. Popsicles, face-painting and walks to the park round out a week of fun, culminating in a performance for parents, as well as the “premiere” of the camp movie. A DVD is sent home with each camper.

CARROLL COUNTY FARM MUSEUM LIVING HISTORY CAMP
July 8-12, Grade 3; July 15-19, Grade 4; July 22-26, Grade 5. 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Children will experience some of the skills that were necessary for rural farm life 150 years ago. CARROLL HOSPICE CAMPS

Camp T.R. Weekend Overnight Experience May 31-June 2. Ages 7-15. Free. Provided by Carroll Hospice, Camp T.R. offers a safe place for children and adolescents to share feelings, ask questions and learn positive coping and grieving skills after the death of a loved one. Healing Hearts Day Camp A free day-long camp held by Carroll Healing Hearts Day Camp is based in Westminster.

JAMS MUSIC CENTER
Rock Out! Summer Jam Camp! Call for camp dates, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday. Ages 8-12 and 13-16 with a minimum camp of 10 students per week. Classes maintain a 5:1 ratio of student to teacher. MCDANIEL COLLEGE
McDaniel Summer Music Camp, June 23-29, for children in grades 7-12. Campers are split into two bands, a medium-level group and an advanced ensemble. Tuition: Commuting students with a meal plan – $550. Camp residents – $700. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due by May 31 to hold a place. Campers will learn and perform a full-length Dr. Seuss play. They will use their imagination that will allow them to learn, grow and create all about theatre.
