All camps are held at the Carroll Arts Center in downtown Westminster. Explore all aspects of the arts, from theater to arts and crafts projects. Fun Company Theatre Camp Ages 8-12. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. Camp Director: Julie Herber, Maryland Ensemble Theatre. Activities pertain to all aspects of the theater, from making props and designing costumes to learning to use technical equipment with lights and microphones. Improv games and drama exercises will help prepare actors for the big show that will take place Friday night on the Art Center’s stage.
Creative Kids Camp Ages 5-8, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Camp Director: Sandy Oxx. Campers enjoy sing-alongs, arts and crafts, drama games, special guests, movies and gallery activities. Popsicles, face-painting and walks to the park round out a week of fun, culminating in a performance for parents, as well as the “premiere” of the camp movie. A DVD is sent home with each camper.
