What is the best advice anyone gave you and how did it change your life?
Growing up, my mom told me, “Always be able to take care of yourself”. While this statement can apply to a lot of personal areas, it takes on special meaning to me as a female Financial Advisor. Though women are often key financial decision makers for their family, there tends to be a gap in how they view and handle their money. Women tend to score lower on financial literacy tests and invest less. It is exciting to me to be able to educate women on the importance of financial planning and investing early and often. It is exciting to see women grow confident in their financial knowledge and financial security. Each day, I have a new opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life and the lives of those they care for and support. Though I didn’t know it as a girl, my mom’s encouragement would ultimately empower many women.
